$9 Million Settlement – Catastrophic Injury Car Crash Case

The Haggard Law Firm’s Pedro Echarte and co-counsel Angel Diaz of Kirshner, Groff & Diaz have obtained a $9,000,000 settlement in a catastrophic injury car crash case.

On March 12, 2021, Defendant Luis Iraheta traveled on vacation to Florida with a friend. Mr. Iraheta rented a Lamborghini Urus from Co-Defendant GoExotics.

That evening, Mr. Iraheta and his friend went to several nightclubs until they ended up at a nightclub in North Miami called the Arena Grill & Lounge. Echarte and Diaz’s client, Abraham, worked security at the nightclub.

The Haggard Law Firm’s Pedro Echarte has settled a $1.3 Million negligent security wrongful death case involving the murder of a 21-year-old father in the parking lot of his apartment.

The parents of Jean Desroche knew the apartment complex they lived in with their son, the Lakewood Terrace Apartments in Lakeland, was a dangerous place. Their hope that tragedy would not find their family was destroyed when Jean was shot and killed in the parking lot of the complex on October 9^th of 2016. The shooting occurred late in the evening after Jean returned home after being out with his friends. At the time of the shooting, the victim’s daughter was 2-years-old.

In 2016, Echarte litigated a negligent security case involving a young father who was shot 6 times in an attempted home invasion at a condominium located in Miami. As a result of the crime, the 22-year-old was rendered an incomplete paraplegic. Echarte was able to earn a $10.6 million settlement result for the Haggard Law client and his family.
